Whether you are recovering from an injury, an athlete recuperating after a performance or just an individual who wants to live a long and healthy life, stretching is a must! You might feel stiff at first and that it is hard work, but after a short while, you will feel the immense benefits.
Stretching keeps the muscles strong and healthy but most of all – flexible. Flexibility we need to maintain a range of motion in our joints. Without this flexibility, the muscles will tend to shorten and become tight. When you then call on the muscles for activity, they are weak and will not be able to extend all the way.
